Gavkhar Khaydarova, an otolaryngologist who completed her education at Tashkent Medical Academy in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, was selected for a foreign medical personnel training program organized by the Ministry of Health and sponsored by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. From May 11 to June 29, she underwent medical training at the Yeson Voice Center.
This training program was conducted to enhance the advanced medical knowledge and skills of foreign medical personnel in Korean medical technology, as well as to increase their understanding and preference for Korean healthcare services.
Dr. Gavkhar, selected for this program from Uzbekistan, observed various advanced laryngeal surgeries, such as those for benign vocal cord conditions like vocal fold polyps and vocal fold nodules, as well as vocal feminization surgery and removal of laryngeal papillomas, conducted at the Yeson Voice Center. During the training period, she acquired expertise in objective and professional voice assessments, including voice examinations for voice professionals such as singers, musical actors, announcers, and show hosts, as well as various voice management programs and rehabilitation programs implemented at the Yeson Voice Center.
Dr. Gavkhar expressed her gratitude to the Yeson medical staff who provided assistance for her smooth adaptation to the program in a foreign country. She stated, "I am impressed by the high-quality examination systems and medical technology at Yeseong, and I will strive to contribute to the advancement of medicine in my home country based on the knowledge gained during this training."
