CTA Revision+VFSRAC surgery done in Mar, 2017 in Yeson Voice Center
Our lovely patient from Italy was discontent with her voice after the cricothyroid approximation she had in Thailand back in 2008.
She complained about hoarseness and difficulty speaking due to the strained pattern she was forced to use after the CTA procedure.
Yeson Voice Center held a comprehensive voice examination to check her condition in detail and focused on restoring
her voice quality by undoing the CTA and realizing VFSRAC procedure to shorten and tighten her long and loose vocal folds.
Post-operatively her voice quality was restored significantly from the damage and
she successfully managed to adapt to using her newly recreated vocal folds through the daily vocal function exercises.
This was the successful case. In case of a patient with severely damaged vocal folds following CTA or glottoplasty,
there could be some restrictions on the pitch-increasing process after having VFSRAC surgery
but you can still expect to restore your voice quality at a greater extent.
