What is the 'Medical Charity Project'?
-> It is a project to treat diseases of children in countries with low medical standards.
This project is being carried out for the purpose of helping children regain their voices and give them a better life and new dreams, and this practice of sharing is also contributing greatly to making the excellence of Korean medicine known to the world.
The second patient of the '2024 Medical Charity Project', Nurdana Sapar (4 years old), a Kazakh national, was treated for laryngeal papilloma. The laryngeal papilloma that the children suffer from is a benign tumor that looks like a wart, called papilloma (Human papilloma virus (HPV)) that infects the cells surrounding the larynx. Multiple papilloma mainly occurs in children, and if the recurrence is severe and widespread, it can cause respiratory distress.
Nurda Sapar was in a situation where she could not speak at all due to the worsening of her laryngeal papilloma.
In order to prevent the worsening of her laryngeal papilloma, Yeson performed four laryngeal microsurgeries during this sharing medical period to remove the laryngeal papilloma on the vocal cords.
Yesong Voice Center promised continuous follow-up care, including continuous monitoring of the patients' conditions through the coordinator in charge.
Since 2011, Yeson Voice Center has been providing free treatment to 26 overseas incurable children through the ‘Medical Charity Project’, and the children who received treatment and returned to their home countries have been expressing their gratitude through photos and videos of their healthy appearance after surgery.
