The Symposium organized by KAVPA (The Korean Association for Voice of Performing Arts) and sponsored by Yeson Voice Center in an attempt to make a contribution in generating artists and education professionals through the research and by systemizing the theories developed in the voice specialty areas of Korea’s art performers was opened on Apr 11th at Samsung 1-dong Art Center. Master class and lectures were programmed during the symposium under the theme of ‘Respiration’ which is becoming another disputed point along with the Art and Performance Phonation. Hyung-Tae Kim, the director of the Yeson Voice Center, firstly broke the ice by throwing a pitch with regards to the respiration physiologically associated with phonation followed by the presentation made by Dr. Tara McAllister-Viel (The professor from the Essex University, U.K.). In this Symposium, music major students, musical actors, singer candidates and general guests attended and gained the knowledge and related information.
