From Sept 7th to Sept 16th, the 2nd half of 2015 Medical Charity Project was held. Yeson Voice Center starting this project since 2011 every half year, it has been offering free medical treatment opportunities to cure the diseases of the child patients who need financial support. By retrieving their voices, YVC is giving hopes and new dreams for the child patients. The medical charity program made it possible to boost the promotion of the high competitiveness of Korea’s medical technique world-wide. In this second half Medical Charity Project, YVC helped Irina Cheles from Moldova and Zheng Boyuan from China who have been suffering from laryngeal papilloma for long. The recurrence rate of laryngeal papilloma which wart-like tumors are covering vocal folds over and over is around 80%. Total three times of surgeries were performed to remove laryngeal Papilloma and YVC promised to track the outcome providing continuous post-op cares. Dr. Hyung-Tae, Kim, the director of Yeson Voice Center, said “I want to continue to give hopes to the child patient and his/her parents who have been suffering from repetitive surgeries in the poor medical environment. The aim of this medical charity project is to completely cure the highly recurrent disease, laryngeal Papilloma, and thus to retrieve the voice of child patients permanently which I believe this will contribute to acknowledgement of the excellence of Korea’s medical system and surgery techniques.
