On Sept 3rd, the workshop aimed at opening the discussion on the theme of ‘Strategies for boosting competitiveness of Global Healthcare of Korea’ was held at Jeju Aerospace Hotel for two days. In this workshop, total 39 members from 22 registered institutions in the Korea International Medical Association (KIMA) have attended and discussed the marketing strategies which can promote overseas patients and expand the network among the practitioners. A familiarization tour made at Jeju Halla Hospital as a starter of the workshop program, benchmarking training was held on the theme of ‘Global Healthcare Mega Trend and Korea’s Marketing Strategies.’ YVC through the discussion meetings has gathered information on Medical Korea Conference Program and actively discussed the strategies that can multiply promotion channels for the successful promotion of international patients. The importance of preparing the medium to long-term strategies and setting up plans in detail were addressed along with the time that allowed the introduction of each hospital to get to know more about each other for any possible cooperation can be considered in the near future.
