Yeson Voice Center managed its Master Class aimed at delivering the medical services to the patients with laryngeal diseases residing in Astana City, Kazakhstan from Dec 10
th to Dec 16
th.
It was the 3
rd Master Class Yeson has participated and around 20 doctors gathered at the National Research Center For Maternal And Child Health and had this opportunity to observe the consultation and surgery procedure. Only the patients of a severe case were selected as candidates for this Master Class and to eliminate the wrong diagnosis more explanation were made case by case.
The selected patients were mainly diagnosed with ‘juvenile laryngeal papillomatosis’ which is known as one of the hardly-curable diseases with a high recurrence rate. During the Master Class, total 5 children received the surgery and their cases were all severe with laryngeal papillomatosis already spread out through their whole larynx; some had difficulty breathing due to laryngeal papilloma covered in the airway while others had suffered from this disease for many years with frequent surgeries.
In addition to this, another 20 patients who are suffering from laryngeal diseases such as sulcus vocalis, laryngeal cancer, spasmodic Dysphonia and etc had the medical treatment. Full explanation was made with regards to the consultation process and treatment plan. Also, lectures regarding the introduction to laryngeal diseases, Phonation program, the importance of voice, the danger of laryngeal diseases, and the way to prevent laryngeal diseases were made.
Hyung-tae Kim, the director of Yeson Voice Center said, “This center is large in size though the overall medical environment and techniques are not advanced that we had to bring all necessary medical items and appliances with us from Korea. However, I am very pleased at the surgery outcome and having this opportunity to share our medical services and techniques through this Master Class.”
