The 6 th symposium organized by KOVA and sponsored by Yeson Voice Center was held in Konkuk University, Sanhak Department Room #223 (the 14th building) on May 25 th .
KOVA is an organization for the research and it mainly consist of professionals dedicated themselves to classic singing, musicals, contemporary music and medical the therapy providers in the voice industry. The aim of this organization is to develop the performing art of Korea and to develop the voice industry through the continuous research and training.
The them of Symposium this time was ‘The myth and truth about performing art,’ The symposium was started with a professor Eom, Eun-sil's 'Traditional Appreciation of Respiratory Breathing and Proper Appoggio Breathing Method,' 'Traditional Speech and Understanding of the Pansori Method' by Professor Kim Min Soo of of Myungji University Department of Education, Customary Expression and Understanding of Laryngeal Movement during Speech' by Professor Kim Sung-taee of Dongsin University and so forth.
Through this symposium, it was a good opportunity for participants from various fields such as practical musical majors, aspiring singer, pansori experts, and general people to properly understand vocal and physiological aspects of conventional expressions and contents related to voice performance.
